A man in military-style gear enters a supermarket in Buffalo, New York, and starts firing from a rifle.
A mass shooting took place Saturday afternoon in Buffalo, the second largest city in New York State.
A gunman with a rifle entered a local supermarket and opened fire on shoppers. The man, dressed in military-style gear, was apparently acting alone, local media reported, citing law enforcement agencies.
“It’s like walking into a horror movie, but everything is real,” Buffalo News quoted a police officer at the scene as saying.
A total of 13 people were shot and 10 were killed on the spot, the Buffalo Police Commissioner said.

The fate of the gunman is also unclear. However, local police said on Twitter “The shooter is in custody,” Law enforcement sources told the media that he was shot dead on the spot.
The attacker was reported to have live-streamed the shooting spree on the Twitch streaming platform. Several graphic screenshots allegedly taken from the current, showing a body lying on the floor and a woman being shot in the head, are being circulated online.
